ROAD TO LONDON: Reasons why I hate “every 4-year” gymnastics fans

Judging a gymnast by the way she looks
It’s one thing to like a gymnast because her lines are pretty. It’s another thing to believe that the girl with perfectly straightened hair and nice make up should win gold because she’s better looking than her competitors. Usually this leads to the calling of others fat. F-A-T. Because these girls are cows that don’t kill their body for the sport. They just sit at McDonalds all day eating the pain that Marta has caused them away. Other annoying comments include old, big forehead, and the ever popular “they look 12” talk that starts whenever the Chinese girls are on screen.

They listen & believe in NBC
It’s sad really. There are actual people out there who think Tim, Al, and Elfi are experts on the sports. These same people also think that China has an army of underaged babies, Russia’s gonna start another Cold War, every single Romanian gymnast is the next Nadia, and that 5 year olds are outside doing tkachevs on the monkey bars!

God bless the USA…unless they fuck up
Everyone’s patriotic and it’s red, white, and blue all the way until someone falls. Then the blame game starts and the poor girl who had a bad day should’ve stayed home in the first place. Remember ASac? She got so much crap in Beijing and ignorant people are still pissed at her for losing “our” gold medal. It’s not like China won because they were great. They only won because USA had a bad day, right?

The logic that other countries can’t be awesome
In 2004, Romania wasn’t good. They only won because of mistakes made by the United States. In 2008, China wasn’t good. They only won because of mistakes made by the United States. If Team USA was so fan-fucking-tastic then they should have hit their routines. No excuses. The other countries aren’t standing by to push our gymnasts off podium, they were great, but of course credit can’t ever be given where it’s due.

Why did she score higher when there’s not stuck landing?
What is an amanar anyway? That’s the same thing as as a piked jaeger right? What the fuck is a piked jaeger? Is it that twirly thing on beam? Where’s Kerrie Strug? Is Shannon Miller still around? What about SHAWN & NASTIA????

I could go on but do I really need to?
