What are some creative, new, and different beam connections that you would like to see or think would be cool?

I am a huge fan of forward tumbling skills and I think they’re fresh alternative to the boring BHS LOSO variations.

Connections I like to see/would like to see more of:

Front aerial -> side aerial
Side aerial -> back LOSO
Front aerial -> front toss or barani
Switch leap -> switch side is always a cool dance pass and I don’t think I see it enough
any sort of leap/jump into a gainer LOSO
I think it would be neat if jumps were connected out of turns in the same way that they are on floor. (ex: double toe turn -> popa would be bitchin)

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. But beam is my favorite event to coach and judge. I just love beam :’)

different anon but i think obama's problem (if you can call it that) is that he made history when he was elected and cannot live up to the precedent that set (nobody ever could though) also he struggles to pass any laws because nearly everything he supports gets blocked by the republicans but i do fundamentally agree with what he is trying to do in the US and the lying he does is not nearly as bad as the in the UK where the primeminister complains about tax avoidance schemes he has himself

I understand and respect your opinion. I might disagree, but I still respect it. Thank you for taking the time to actually write a thoughtful, explanatory, and pretty good response. It is indeed a serious question. How can you dislike Bush, but like Obama, when Barack has expanded all of his programs, repeatedly lied to the American public, and arms terrorists? It's a little hypocritical for Republicans to receive so much hate when the Democratic President is doing the exact same thing.

Look, I never said Obama was perfect. Frankly, the perfect president doesn’t exist because in the end, they are all politicians. And anyone who doesn’t think that politicians are by their very nature duplicitous and deceitful is in denial.

I turned 18 just a few days before the 2008 NH primary and I voted for Hillary Clinton. I had met Barack Obama when he came to speak in my hometown and I had the opportunity to go see Hillary Clinton speak, and I decided that I liked Hillary more. I still do. While she won the NH primary, she didn’t end up getting the nomination. So, in the past two elections, I have voted for the democratic nominee, Barack Obama. Because I believe he was a better choice for president than the GOP candidates (McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, and if something happened to him, that would mean that SHE would be the next in line to be president. And I wasn’t about to vote to allow that idiot to be Vice President). And Mitt Romney? I mean come on. If he was the best person for the Republican nomination then we have a serious problem.

I think Obama has a better grasp on what the average American struggles with than some middle-aged white man who was born into money and hasn’t had to work a day in his life. Obama supports equality for all Americans in all aspects of life, he doesn’t support putting women into binders, being a special snowflake for hiring a woman, banning abortions, and defining marriage to be between a man and a woman. And anyone who says that social issues shouldn’t matter is delusional. Social issues ARE economic issues. The wage gap is a social and economic issue. Health care is a social and economic issue. And so on and so forth.

The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of the GOP in Congress has tried their hardest to block the passage of every bill Obama has put on the table to help the American people. They said they would help create jobs, but they blocked a bill that would have created and saved millions of jobs. They’re focusing all their attention on trying to discredit the President with scandals instead of buckling down and trying to help people. They are wasting time trying to restrict abortions instead of creating jobs and helping those suffering in the recession get back on their feet.

So to answer your question, I prefer Obama to Bush. In a heartbeat. But we can agree to disagree and I respect your opinion if you think otherwise.

- -75% of women who get abortions cite financial reasons for their abortions, if women were supplied with an environment where their jobs and education were protected, their medical needs were fully covered and their children were guaranteed with a reasonable level of basic care upon birth that promised for a future better than the women could currently supply that would end nearly all abortion that are needed for non-medial reasons.

And it would cost only around 6billion/year or to put that in perspective 0.009% of what the U.S. spends on killing people (military budget)

If pro-lifers really wanted to STOP abortion they’d be fighting for this world. Not one where women get jail time at best and septicemia at worse for abortions.

Members of Congress are living off food stamps for a week to protest Republican cuts. It’s a challenge for them, but GOP cuts would hurt millions of everyday Americans.

Why does this not have more publicity. This needs it!

Signal boosting this A) because it deserves to be seen by more people, and b) because I appreciate some members of Congress are actually willing to see what it’s like living on food stamps in order to make their point about how horrifying cutting food stamps would be.

News flash, regressives: people on food stamps do not load up on Snickers bars and filet mignon. They’re limited in what they can buy, and oftentimes, it’s not enough to get by on. Go on thinking these are entitlements that let minorities live lives of luxury, comfortable in the knowledge that you’ll never go hungry.

So you go to the police. Only, instead of investigating the crime, the police want to know why you were wearing a Rolex instead of a regular watch. Have you ever given a Rolex to anyone else? And then after that, everywhere you go, there are constant jokes about stealing your Rolex. People you don’t even know whistle at your Rolex and make jokes about cutting your hand off to get it. The media doesn’t help either; it portrays people who wear Rolexes as flamboyant assholes who secretly just want someone to come along and take that Rolex off their hands. When damn, all you wanted was to wear a nice watch without getting harassed for it. When you complain that you are starting to feel unsafe, people laugh you off and say that you are too uptight. Never mind you got violently attacked for the crime of wearing a friggin time piece.

Imagining all that? It sucks, doesn’t it.

I don’t live with my parents, and they are still married. My car is actually pretty nice, but the maintenance of cars, particularly when you put as many miles on them as I do, can be pricey on occasion.
